Shepherds Lookout looks out over the Murrumbidgee River snaking its way through the border of the A.C.T. and N.S.W. It captivates me because the river seems to take on a life of its own at different times of the day and with different light. It may appear dark and moody and then at another time playful and gleaming. Arthur Streeton often captured the glimmer of a river gliding through the landscape and his works have inspired me.
