Mood Indigo
$2,000.00
Growing up in a house of Jazz and the Blues, the record player would go on in the the late afternoon, where the shadows were long and the mood was for relaxing. When I came upon this pretty street in Canberra on an Autumn day, the shadows making abstract patterns across the street, it reminded me of those earlier times. I knew in that instant that I was going to paint it in the colour indigo, reminiscent of those afternoons listening to Duke Ellington, Nina Simone and Frank Sinatra singing “Mood Indigo”.
